Since 2021, we have set out to make the most universally accessible and results driven Personal Protection Training out there to date. Our goal is not to mass produce killing machines, but Smart, Safe, Defense-Driven Human Beings that desire to protect themselves and those around then if they even must.
We understand most people do not have time to become martial arts black belts or search youtube to try and learn haphazardly from home on their own. That is why at Smart Safe Defense, we believe in training in ways that do not require a gym, a black belt, or a lot of time or money.

Meet Your Instructors
Adam Jolly
Adam is a martial artist and self defense expert of over 15 years teaching experience. Having taught ages 7 years old, to 77 years old. Adam is an expert in teaching the skillset of self defense and personal protection. He is former martial arts competitor and coach with multiple national and international championships acquired throughout North America.
Adam felt the call to join the United States Army and enlisted in 2017. Adam made his way through Infantry School and Airborne School, before eventually residing at Fort Bragg N.C. as an 11B in the 1-504 Red Devils, Alpha Company. There, Adam served as a Rifleman, Gunner, Assistant Gunner, and Team Leader.
Adam exited the Army in 2021 and moved back to his home state where he serves as a volunteer firefighter, and active Law Enforcement Deputy.
Adam realized that while serving in the Army and now a Husband, Father, and Deputy, that keeping up on training was difficult. As a result, Adam created the idea of Smart Safe Defense and The Get Real Self Defense Podcast as a way to help others busy like him to learn and keep up on self defense and personal protection even if they have little time or money to do so.
Adam’s other passions and hobbies include playing with his kids, jiu-jitsu, gaming, shooting, and further developing the Smart Safe Defense brand.
